A reoccurring event to cultivate the land for community events, gardening, and Sanctuary.
This month we continue our focus on a mother pine tree who fell over in a storm: teaching safety and techniques with a professional tree aborist, repurposing wood, and brewing medicinal and antiseptic recipes with the pine needles. We also will be laying the foundation for where our pergola will be installed. Other projects include: mural painting, gardening, creating plots, seeding, watering. After our day of labor and love for the land, we will celebrate with nourishing food, drink, and skill and art share with music and performance art.
• Regenerative gardening - get your hands in the soil
• Arboriculture - learn the art of the chainsaw
• Essential oil, balm, soap making - medicinal and antiseptic
• Upcycle and repurposing - using all parts of the plant.
• Earth ceremony and ritual as we lay the tree to rest and come together for a controlled burn
• Live music and DJs - it is open mic / sets as well so come prepared to share your craft if you like
• Performance art - dance, Shibari, fire, flow
• Potluck - we encourage bringing an item to share
