Ichinawa is a practice with only one rope and the concept of ichinawa is a shibari (Japanese style rope bondage) that is focused on the interconnectedness of two people tying, and minimal focus on the technical aspect.

Join us for a unique rope experience blending botanical beauty with bondage art. In this lush, all-levels workshop, we’ll explore rope adornment using flowers, ferns, herbs, and leaves.
Bring your vision to life using flora to embellish your ties. A photo area will be available to capture your finished work. You may also come as an artist! Whether you’d like to photograph, sketch, draw, paint, or observe the art! As long as it is consensual, we encourage all creation.

Futomomos are a classic shibari (Japanese style rope bondage) tie! With many variations and styles - this folded leg tie is iconic and a favorite of many and pairs beautifully for many different types of sequences on the floor, in partial, or full suspension.

In times when romance seems like a distant memory… we invite you to sink into it again. The simple luxury. The Beating heart. The wandering eyes which meet and melt. We’re bringing it back. This volume three of our conception will be the most special one yet: in our new home we are thrilled to share with you all.
We also share this night of rope and shibari performance featuring poetry with Poetry Brothel and Florals by The Fab Lab. You will even have the opportunity to create and experience your own: ties, poems, and flowers in a curated container.

Part of our Core Curriculum and the second part of our “Floor Series”! In this class, we will review the foundations and soft skills before diving into getting rope around the body, restricting movement, and moving the body around on the floor. This is designed to deepen your understanding of how to effectively wrap and attach body parts using rope. We will explore the nuances of moving a person who is tied, because they usually can’t move themselves! We will also go over hands-on techniques for adjusting and securing ties, ensuring that movement is both safe and sustainable.
Goodbye Rope Jam
Join us for an homage to our roots in the studio one last time! Rope Jam!! No experience or partner required. There is no dedicated demos or lesson plan however if you are new there will be facilitators to go over safety, foundations, and teach some basic ties! Bon Voyeur: Farewell Performance Night to Our 1st Studio
Gather with us one last time as we bid adieu to our 1st studio - The South 16th location for an intimate and classy performance evening to say farewell. We will have tea service and decadent treats for the mouth, ears, and eyes. Enjoy a classic and classy evening with us as we share our art form in this space. Our love for all we have created in this building will live forever in our memories, hearts, and we will carry it with us as we find our new home!
