Frequently asked questions.

Are events age restricted?

Yes. All our events are 18 years or older. If we have a bar serving alcohol - the event will be 21 years or older.

What items should I bring to class?

We recommend the following items:

  • 1-2 lengths of rope for most classes. Advanced classes may require a full set i.e. 6-10 lengths of rope and hardware such as carabiners and ring.

  • Safety sheers/cutting instrument

  • Mats

  • Pillows/blankets for comfort

  • Notepad/pen/pencil

  • Water bottle/snacks

Please keep in mind we have all these items for borrow or purchase in the studio so if you do not own these items yet: no worries! We have you covered.

What should I wear?

We recommend anything that makes you feel comfortable, empowered, sexy, and is easy to move around in. Our only requirement is that you leave your bottom undergarments covered. Underwire bras, metal, plastic, jean, or inflexible material is not recommended.

How early and how late can I arrive for class?

We can not guarantee you will be able to gain access to the building and therefore class until 15 minutes before class and after class has started. We recommend if you are attempting to arrive early or late that you make sure this is okay with your facilitator ahead of time so they know to look out for your arrival. If you are unable to gain access due to tardiness- we are happy to credit you for a future event.

Where do I park?

We do have a gated parking lot attached to the building HOWEVER - we cannot always promise parking or that staff will be available to open the gate for you. You must call or text if you would like to use the gated parking and we recommend doing so within 15 minutes before a class. Once class has started it can be difficult to get staff out to the gate to open it. Street parking and entrance through the alley is usually always available.

Can I Suspend in the studio?

We have a wooden pergola structure for suspension. This structure does not have any hardware built in. We have safety straps and bamboo available as well as carabiners for borrow typically. In order to be approved for suspension you will have to do an equipment check: all equipment must be safety approved for rope suspension (i.e. fully solid carabiners, same metal type for ring/carabiners, rope in good condition, etc). You will also be asked to demonstrate understanding of suspension concepts and demo a somerville bowline or comparable single column knot.
