Shibari theater is a unique performance that immerses the audience in a profound world of emotions, feelings, and personal stories. It raises important questions, touching on triggers and details that awaken long-forgotten experiences and reveal new dimensions and sensations. This is an art form where the rope becomes not just a tool, but a means of genuine communication between the performers and the audience. At the core of the theater lies a synthesis of various art forms: dance, aikido, contact improvisation, sometimes live music. These elements intertwine during a 40-minute journey of transformation, culminating in a refined and elegant tea ceremony, creating an atmosphere of calm and completeness.
Tati is a Ukrainian-born Shibari artist and instructor with over 12 years of dedicated practice. Her training includes lineage-based Japanese Shibari with masters such as Naka Akira, Ren Yagami, Kinoko Hajime, Nicolas Yoroi, and the Yukimura style.
Her rope is shaped by a rare blend of disciplines - Aikido, contact improvisation, Tantra, Qi Gong, Thai massage, and femdom. She’s not just a rope artist - she’s a world-traveler, a festival curator, a Shibari theatre performer, and a devoted student of psychology.
Tati’s style is intuitive, improvisational, and deeply embodied. Her teaching helps students move beyond imitation into the creative, authentic soul of rope.
