HAJAME KINOKO
Kinoko not only views shibari as an erotic art form but also excels at presenting it to the realm of contemporary art. His distinctive rope work often incorporates elements of nature—such as trees and rocks—and his innovative use of space has garnered widespread acclaim. Beyond performing live rope shows, he has recently been actively producing artwork that includes photography and video, frequently overseeing the tying, photography, and creative direction himself.
Kinoko is also internationally recognized, having conducted workshops in over 20 major cities—including Paris, London, and Munich—as well as throughout Japan. He stands as one of Japan’s leading rope artists.
KAZAMI RANKI
Kazami Ranki hails from Osaka Japan and is a world renowned Nawashi who developed his own style of tying over the last 35 years. He started teaching in 2000 and has taken his unique style to venues all over the world both as a performer and educator. Kazami identifies as a Bakushi, binding for the sake of SadoMasochistic play rather than for the aesthetics of the rope. His style is well suited for all body types with a focus on variability and sustainability within suspension. Famously known as the Atrocious Nawashi, Kazami Ranki's Kinbaku show truly highlights the spirit of the woman in her tied element.
RORY ROPES
Rory’s (he/him) passion for Shibari took flight when he first visited Anatomie Studio in early 2020. With a background as both a rigger and model, he has a wealth of knowledge in both tying and active bottoming which he bases his teaching around and is constantly developing his skills through local and international rope classes.
Rory likes to make sure his rope puts a model’s well-being and needs first and believes that rope is for every body regardless of background, gender, body type, disability or injury. He strives to make shibari inclusive by adjusting and developing ties to suit the individual, taking into account any injuries or disabilities.
When tying he enjoys playful and dynamic rope and is a fan of incorporating body manipulation and pressure play alongside rope. He has also developed techniques like quick drops which he uses in play and when performing at events.
MAGNOLIA ATX
Bio
-Magnolia- is a former ballerina and current yogi. She has 23 years of experience as a massage therapist and esthetician, IAYT Yoga Therapist, and over 10 years of rope bottoming experience. She has performed and presented classes at numerous events throughout the U.S., including several national conferences. -Magnolia- also runs a group for Rope Bottoms called BOA (Rope Bottoms of Austin ) in Austin, Texas. She has developed a unique bottoming philosophy from her anatomy and movement education. Through this body awareness, she feels like she can hold stressful ties longer and push positions that she could not do before.
TATI & RINA
Tati is a Ukrainian-born Shibari artist and instructor with over 12 years of dedicated practice. Her training includes lineage-based Japanese Shibari with masters such as Naka Akira, Ren Yagami, Kinoko Hajime, Nicolas Yoroi, and the Yukimura style.
Her rope is shaped by a rare blend of disciplines - Aikido, contact improvisation, Tantra, Qi Gong, Thai massage, and femdom. She’s not just a rope artist - she’s a world-traveler, a festival curator, a Shibari theatre performer, and a devoted student of psychology.
Tati’s style is intuitive, improvisational, and deeply embodied. Her teaching helps students move beyond imitation into the creative, authentic soul of rope.

Rope Practitioner + Book Artist
Co-facilitator for the Partial Suspension series. With a background in community-centered collective practices, Calba approach to rope and bookbinding is rooted in intimacy, storytelling, and connection. As with binding books, and binding bodies, they focus on the ways we can liberate legacies of intergenerational trauma through embodied restraint and sharing story. Calba centers inclusivity in their rope and values the opportunity to learn and navigate new approaches and strategies to create avenues of access to everyone.
In addition to their rope and bookbinding practice, Calba has years of experience creating spaces exclusively for queer and trans Black, Indigenous and people of color to access rope, kink, and BDSM. They are trained in restorative justice practices, de-escalation, and trauma-informed care and bring these skills to any and all pleasure based community organizing.
They are available for private group classes or one-on-ones and are always down for supporting collective and grassroots organizing.

Samantha “Bullsdaughter” teaches dance and sensual movement with an emphasis on uplifting and inspiring marginalized/ overlooked communities. Inclusivity is a major part of her mission as she grew up feeling a general lack of belonging. Samantha encourages anyone with the urge to unleash and feel sexy to enter my classes as a vessel toward those desires. As a burlesque dancer who has performed over the entirety of her life, she’s very passionate about sharing the gift she was granted to explore this outlet with others. Her classes touch on connecting to the physical/mental/emotional body, sexuality, & sensuality. She teachers a spectrum of classes: Sensual Heels choreography, Heels fundamentals, Twerk and various dance workshops.

Sylise Marie of Rose Thorns Apothecary a local abstract artist, wine lover, and herbal alchemist.
From Sylise Marie: I like to consider myself a woman of many interests and talents. I'm currently on the journey of merging my love for music, art, tea and wine. Each of these hats allow me to genuinely express who I am to the world through multiple realms and lenses. The artist in me finds therapy through color, mark making and bold creative expression. The wine steward in me allows for me explore multiple worlds by activating all 5 senses and sharing these worlds with others. The herbalist in me creates magic and healing and through all of these I embrace sensuality.
Sommuptuous selections
Jordon and Steven of Sommpulous Selections Grace the studio for Wine Tastings and frequently our monthly Sip + Draw : Life Drawing + Wine Tasting.
Steven’s wine journey began to accelerate while serving at a stylish Venetian restaurant in LA’s South Bay. Here, he began to learn the vast range of Italian wines and regions. Subsequently, he became thirsty for wine knowledge and set out to learn more.
Jordon has her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and has extensive experience in customer service and developing an excellent customer experience. She has absorbed a lot of wine knowledge through the years and is excited to share that knowledge.
zach & Anna
Zach (he/him) & Anna (she/her/they)!
Zach and Anna are Sex, Kink, LBGTQ, positive state certified substance abuse counselors who are trauma informed. Zach has been working in the Substance Abuse,Mental Health and Homeless fields for 4 years and Anna has been working in the mental health, addiction, and homeless fields for over 8 years. They are excited to facilitate a sober, inclusive, lifestyle/ kink events for this community!
They host our monthly AyAy Meetings: An Open Mic and Sober night! Come share your art, music, craft, kinks, story, and enjoy a sober space in the community!

Carmen Elida of Duality Heartwork is a Black and Mexican student herbalist, birthworker, artist, and storyteller residing on Kumeyaay Lands (so-called, San Diego, CA). She uses her herbal process and experience as a birthworker to explore questions around identity, liberation and community-centered care.

Savannah Roshan (Madame V.) is a lifelong entertainer and San Diego nightlife event producer. From a young age, she participated in classical theater, dance, and opera programs in Chicago before making the move out to California to continue her studies in 2014. In 2018 she received an Irene Ryan scholarship nomination for her role as Shelly in Sam Shepard’s Buried Child. Upon completing her studies, she participated in many local films such as The Yawn (2017), The Dinner (2017), Continuance (2021), Pulp Friction (2022), and Hands (music video 2022). After going to school for film, theater, music, and linguistics at San Diego Mesa College and UCSD, she founded the gothic nightlife event “Club Obsession” which showcases the best underground performance and visual artistry the San Diego and LA county areas have to offer. Each Obsession event takes inspiration from popular films like Blade: the Blade Runner franchise, Hellraiser, and Suspiria. From DJing, Gogo dancing, BDSM sessions, and performance art, Vannah can be found working in concerts, nightclubs, and festivals including "Modern.wav," the San Diego Pride Festival, Rich’s San Diego, Connect San Diego, EQ, and the San Diego Rope Collective.
