Our Foundations of Rope is a cohesive and thorough starting point for rope and shibari. Whether you have never touched rope before or you would like to refresh your skills and foundational knowledge: this class is a welcoming and informative place for all to ground into the essential elements of rope. This class will help you build a strong, conscious foundation.

Mosaic Cat (MaoMao) from Shanghai will travel to us for performance and a weekend of education. She will give an intimate performance evening with tea service and light refreshments, farm to table grazing. This will be at our new property location in Vista. Address will be provided upon registration.

Mosaic Cat (MaoMao) from Shanghai will give a history talk on Shibari and rope the first hour and then we will have a rope jam. You may get tickets to both the talk and jam or attend the rope jam only. She will also be available for a very limited number of rope experiences to be tied by her. Do not miss this special opportunity to learn from and share space with an incredible international rope artist.

Intermediate workshop is 1PM-4PM

• Five Flower Tie: Bidirectional Rope Control & Dynamic Tension Flow- Introduces the Chinese "Five Flower Tie" approach, emphasizing symmetrical structure building, dual-direction rope control, and dynamic tension adjustment during movement and play.

• Minimal Predicament Rope — "Two Ropes Are More Than Enough"- A minimalist predicament-focused floor play class using only 1-2 ropes to create secure and psychologically engaging restraint structures. Designed for bedroom play, non-suspension environments, and connective tension play.

Advanced workshop is 5PM-8PM

•   Rhythm & Scene Composition in Rope Performance- A performance-focused class on pacing, emotional rhythm, audience engagement, and scene construction drawn from Maomao's experience performing over 100 rope scenes internationally.
